    Topic:

Understanding Financial Trauma to Raise More Money

The topic of money can be charged with emotions. The Trauma of Money™ approach offers tools for overcoming trauma and thriving financially. This session will help fundraisers understand the financial trauma that they and their donors might be experiencing, enhancing their ability to build trust, make meaningful connections, and raise money.

The session offers an overview of the Trauma of Money™ approach for decreasing shame and increasing discernment around finances. Participants will be guided through understanding money trauma, how it can affect their ability to build donor relationships and raise money, and how donors' financial trauma might manifest. Participants will take away: tools for assessing their own financial trauma/lack of trauma, how to identify financial trauma clues from donors, and reflecting money statements back to donors with sensitivity and compassion.

60-minute presentation including opportunities for self-reflection and optional sharing. A conversational format is facilitated to encourage questions and observations throughout.
