About Us


The SeniorCare Development Network (SCDN) is a fellowship of fund raisers dedicated to the needs of seniors coming together for education, mutual support, networking, and for celebration. Our common endeavor is that we raise funds to support the needs of senior citizens.

The SeniorCare Development Network dynamic:

  • Meetings – challenged with topics of mutual interest and suggested by our participants 
  • Member Resource – participate in relevant question and answer exchanges through email warren 
  • Conference – providing an opportunity for more extensive educational and networking opportunities 
  • Specialized forums on key issues (i.e. Medicaid, Ethics, Leadership, software users etc.) – identifying and putting together groups with shared interests or needs 
  • Networking with other organizations – establishing working partnerships where appropriate 
  • Survey of partners (every two years) – establishing standards of practice or benchmarks for our industry 
  • Sharing of materials and explanation of their use – at meetings and conferences 
  • Encouragement – listen and share as partners need it! 

The strategic role of The SeniorCare Development Network is:

  • Furthering the advancement of our profession through educational opportunities, lessons learned and an understanding of our uniqueness 
  • Encourage networking and the sharing of knowledge 
  • Provide resources and assistance for our partners to raise more money in support of their organizations 
  • Identifying and exploring the differences between raising funds for other causes and for senior support 
  • Forward looking to prepare for cultural and legislative trends

As the largest association of senior care fund raising professionals in the mid-Atlantic region, SCDN’s membership is comprised of those professionals who choose to freely network with others in the senior care venue.
