PRESENTATION: Join us for an engaging trends presentation on aging services including demographic and economic trends, emerging housing styles, consumer preferences, dynamics in healthcare, and affiliation activity.  We will discuss how these trends impact mission advancement and the role of philanthropy in aging service organizations.

SPEAKER BIOS:

Beverly Asper, Director, Baker Tilly US, LLP

Beverly offers a unique perspective to senior living providers by integrating her diverse industry experience into the strategic planning and organizational positioning process. Her experience as a management consultant, executive leadership adviser, financial auditor and senior living services sector executive allow her to understand organizational issues from the provider perspective. As adviser, she collaborates with boards and senior executives on mission alignment, visioning, strategic organizational positioning, renewal, sustainability initiatives and strategic partnerships. As an industry subject matter expert, she provides insights and strategies related to revenue and service diversification, marketing and sales, market research and the competitive landscape and actively leads organizations through the project development cycle. Although Beverly has a long history of financial audit and financial feasibility study preparation for new construction and campus repositioning, she spends the majority of her time with boards and senior executives on governance, strategic planning, organizational positioning, and capacity building through sponsorship transitions. Her life-long passion and energy for serving seniors is evident whether she is facilitating a strategic planning session or listening to residents and family members in a focus group or coffee talk. Beverly is a nationally recognized speaker at LeadingAge National, LeadingAge state affiliates, faith related associations and other related industry associations.

Sara Marcq, Manager, Baker Tilly US, LLP

Sara joined Baker Tilly’s healthcare consulting practice in 2018, where she is responsible for market research and strategy development for healthcare providers, specializing in senior services. More than 10 years of experience in the senior living consulting space gives Sara insight into the evolving dynamics and consumer preferences that help clients determine best practice and service offerings. She is passionate about utilizing research methods to help direct an industry that is vital to older adults in our communities. Sara is an experienced facilitator of board education, resident meetings, focus groups, and town-hall gatherings. She is a speaker at LeadingAge affiliates including Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
